Contests

I Love to Read Month

February 2014

Be sure to take part in our weekly Friday Reads contest.

Each Friday, write down what book you are reading on one of the slips at the library desk and put it into the green contest box. A name will be drawn and the winner will be allowed to choose a new book for the library and have the first chance to read the book. You can also participate in the global Friday Reads contest on Twitter or Facebook. Find details at www.fridayreads.com

“Friday Reads is a global community of thousands of people who come together each week to share whatever they’re reading. Our goal is simple: to raise reading’s visibility and encourage more people to join in!” (From the FridayReads website at www.fridayreads.com)

This contest is open to students and staff. We are always looking for new book ideas.

Family Literacy Day Contest

Family Literacy Day was Sunday January 27, 2013. To promote this day dedicated to reading, writing and essentially doing anything that promotes literacy we gave away a free book of the winner's choosing courtesy of Ms. Armstrong. Our winner was Cody K.

We hope to run the contest again this year so stay tuned!
